Today was Little Wyatt’s very first Valentines day party at school. We had already picked out some Lego Star Wars cards & had Jolly Rancher suckers to attach to them. I thought we were all set. I was wrong.
A couple of weeks ago Kathryn took the boy shopping for some clothes and he convinced her to buy another pack of cards with Paw Patrol on them. I questioned him about it and all I got was “Elizabeth likes them.” I didn’t think anymore about it and forgot about them.
This morning as we were getting ready to leave for school Little Wyatt asked about the cards. I pulled out the back of signed and suckered Star Wars cards to show him. The conversation went something like this:
Me: “Here they are.”
LW: “Where is Elizabeth’s?”
Me: “Right here, I even added a Princess Leia sticker to it”
LW: “NO!”. He takes off and grabs the box of Paw Patrol cards. “Elizabeth likes Paw Patrol.”
I take the cards from him and start to open it to sign her card.
LW: “NOOOOOOOOOOOO! DADDY STOP!”
Me: “Wait…you want to give Elizabeth the whole box?”
LW: “Yes sir.”
tl;dr: Every kid in the boys class got a Valentine card from him, except Elizabeth. She got 32.
